Scaling Course


How quickly can you identify scaling options for different types of athletes — or for yourself?

If you have trouble figuring out how to scale the same movement for a beginner, an injured athlete, or a high-level competitor, this course can help!

The CrossFit Scaling Course will teach you how to scale movements for CrossFit athletes of all levels, former athletes from other disciplines, and injured athletes. Knowing how to offer appropriate scaling options for the athletes in your gym is one of the most important skills you can develop as a coach.

You’ll learn:

  • How to differentiate between beginner, intermediate, and advanced athletes
  • When to encourage an intermediate athlete to try a new skill
  • How to make sure advanced athletes are challenged
  • Scaling for injured athletes
  • Upon successful completion of the course, the user will receive a certificate of completion (available at the bottom of this page). A Certified CrossFit Trainer may claim 2 CEUs towards their continuing education.

    This course can be completed in multiple sessions. However, it is recommended that you complete a full module before exiting the course, as work on partially completed modules will not be saved.
